Creating resilient property and land use information management systems in Syria

In a neighborhood property documentation database project in Aleppo, an AUA partner led a team at the Aga Khan Cultural Services in Syria and the Directorate of the Old City of Aleppo in creating an entirely new spatial database compatible both with previous baseline surveys, as well as the realities of widespread informal property divisions and multi-generational household configurations.  Along similar lines, the AUA team also led on-site trainings and established a geodatabase of cultural heritage for the Aga Khan Cultural Services in Northern Pakistan.
